Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data System Analyst to join our growing data team. This role is pivotal in extracting actionable insights from data, evaluating and optimizing data systems, and designing robust data workflows. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data visualization, system analysis, and data processing tools and will help drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis & Insight Extraction: Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that support business decision-making. Translate business questions into analytical solutions with clear visual outputs and reports.
  • System Evaluation & Optimization: Assess existing data systems and architecture for efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with engineering and data teams to design and implement improvements to data workflows and processing systems.
  • Data Collection & Integration: Build and maintain pipelines for data ingestion from multiple sources (APIs, databases, flat files). Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Create interactive and user-friendly dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker. Automate and streamline regular reporting for key stakeholders and executives.
  • Database Querying & Scripting: Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. Use Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) for data processing and automation.

  • Data Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Google Data Studio
  • Database & Querying: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
  • Programming Languages: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib), R (optional)
  • Data Processing & ETL: Apache Airflow, Talend, Alteryx, or similar
  • Cloud Platforms (preferred): AWS (Redshift, S3), Azure, Google BigQuery
  • Version Control & Collaboration: Git, JIRA, Confluence
Must-Have Competencies and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Python, and Tableau.
  • Experience evaluating and optimizing data workflows and pipelines.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Background in data modeling and database design.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional team.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
