Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Financial Analyst to support data-driven decision-making within a global financial institution. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in financial data analysis, advanced analytics, and business acumen, with the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, market data, and investment metrics to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Utilize programming languages (Python, R, or SAS) for advanced data modelling and statistical analysis.
  • Manage and optimize database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), including writing complex queries.
  • Apply machine learning and predictive analytics techniques to uncover trends and forecast outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data insights with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal governance standards.
  • Present findings and recommendations through clear, concise reports and presentations.
  • Lead or contribute to project planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in financial data analysis and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SAS for data analytics.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database management.
  • Familiarity with machine learning models and predictive analytics.
  • Solid understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
  • Or equivalent credentials
