Accounting Specialist

This role will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for providing accounting assistance to the Finance Manager, financial reporting, auditing, accounting processing and to ensure high quality outcomes for internal stakeholders, as well as creating positive relationships with customers and other external stakeholders with the Company.
- Minimum 5 years of financial accounting experience in a project-based environment as an Assistant Accountant; degree holder or near-qualified and working towards CA or CPA qualifications is preferred but not required .
- Demonstrated month-end reconciliation and reporting experience.
- Highly capable communicator both verbal and written as the position requires dealing with management and auditors.
- Problem solver with ability to deliver process improvements within the team.
- Ability to manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
- Have a mindset of Continuous Improvement and a passion to contribute to change;
- Computer literacy, especially advanced MS Excel skills;
- Reliable understanding of basic Aust. income tax concepts;
- Show energy, initiative and proven ability to think and act independently and take ownership of the role and achieving goals.
