Core Bookkeeping and Compliance

• Review full set of portfolios and ensure compliance deliverables (e.g. tax returns, FS prep)

• With your team of associates, manage the general ledgers including journal entries, accounts payables, receivables, bank reconciliations and other requirements of your assigned client portfolio.

Communication

• Ensure communication timelines are followed

• Respect accounting policies and procedures in line with the requirements of clients

Reviews and Quality Control

• Performs review and controls related to financial reporting and taxes

Process Improvement

• Documentation and updating of Standard Operating Procedures per client

Risk Management

• Identify potential issues, draft root cause analysis and raise them to the manager.

Team Leadership

• Manage one or more Accounting Associates and their output and oversee timekeeping reports of assigned team

• Oversees Timekeeping reports of assigned team

• Supports onboarding and transitions of new team members

Reporting

• Manage month-end closing of accounts and prepare clients’ financial reports in collaboration with your manager

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy

• At least 2+ yrs and up of working experience on a senior accountant level doing general accounting functions, Payroll, Taxation / financial audit gained from the Big 4 or any client servicing environment /Accounting Firm /related field is required for this position

• Must have a supervisory experience or has an experience handling junior accountants for at least 6 months.

• Experience in QuickBooks, XERO or any cloud-based accounting system is highly preferred

• Certified Public Accountant is a plus

• Amenable to work on a hybrid set up and can travel to Mandaluyong City
