Senior Accountant

Overview
Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to be part of their expanding Finance team to assist with payments and AP related work. An independent worker, you should be someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Perform month end closing activities, including preparation of accrual entries and reclassification/adjustment entries
- Prepare monthly schedules, including reconciliations to subledger reports
- Ensure proper documentation and filing records
- Prepare and manage tax and other regulatory filings
- Prepare month end financial and management reports and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations
- Perform review of monthly and YTD performance and provide analysis to optimize performance and profitability
- Liaise with auditors in the annual financial audit process
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, processes and procedures
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance and Accounting or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Working knowledge of Workday (Finance modules) advantageous
- Well-versed in International accounting standards
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for details
- Self-motivated and resourceful team player who is able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Able to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment
