Location: National Capital Region, Philippines

What you will do

In one sentence: Design solutions, provide consultancy to business, and manage the operations of computer systems related to UNIX and Windows operating systems, servers, virtualization and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities
  • A systems administrator is an IT professional responsible for any technological duties associated with servers (physical & virtual), operating systems, OpenShift and cloud computing, including design, planning, management, maintenance and support.
  • Systems administrator with at least 2-5 years' experience in managing servers and various OS — including Linux, Windows, and open-source technologies; systems installation & configuration, system update & maintenance, scripting languages and virtualization technologies. Background in security management, user management, performance tuning, optimization, backup & recovery and networking. Must also have the ability to manage & maintain Active Directory servers, DNS, DHCP & SMTP.
  • Ability to follow procedures in a tightly run Change Control system and communicate to peers and upper management. This position has high visibility and requires a professional demeanor.
  • The team supports 24x7 production and working shifts; a weekend day is required.
  • Any Linux, Windows or OpenShift/Kubernetes (K8) certified engineer is a plus.
Qualifications
  • Experience with at least Linux, Windows & VMware - Must
  • Experience with DevOps tools: OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker - Must
  • Development experience in Terraform - Must
  • Experience with DevOps tools like GitOps, GitHub or GitLab - Must
  • Experience with Ansible or other configuration management systems (Puppet) - Advantage
  • Deep Linux & Windows administration skills (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Windows, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SMTP) - Must
  • Experience with IaaS & PaaS platforms - (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) - Must
  • Hands-on experience in high-scale production environments.
  • Experience in troubleshooting problems and working with a team to resolve large-scale issues. – Must
  • Motivated with a high desire to learn
  • Results-driven with strong commitment
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills and comfortable in a culturally diverse working environment; ability to interact positively with management. Independent problem-solving skills; self-motivated.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in SLA pressure situations.
  • Ability to work within a call management system to handle daily tasks. Previous experience with a Production Environment.
