Role Overview As a Desktop Support Associate at eClerx Manila, you will be part of the IT team responsible for providing first‑line technical support to our employees. You’ll ensure that desktop systems, software, and peripherals run efficiently — minimizing downtime and enabling our teams to deliver world‑class service. Key Responsibilities Provide first‑level support for hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues across the organization. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and related IT equipment. Support user account management, including password resets, access setup, and permissions. Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues through in‑person and remote assistance. Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary. Maintain and update records of IT support tickets, equipment inventory, and system configurations. Assist in the setup of new hires’ workstations and ensure readiness for deployment. Perform regular system updates, patches, and preventive maintenance. Collaborate with other IT teams to improve technical support processes and service delivery. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related course. At least 1 year of experience in desktop support, technical helpdesk, or IT service desk roles (preferably in a BPO or shared services setup). Proficiency with Windows OS, Office 365, and remote troubleshooting tools. Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, VPN). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Customer‑oriented mindset with a proactive and solution‑driven approach. Willing to work onsite in Northgate, Alabang and on shifting schedules. Preferred Skills Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA). Knowledge of IT asset management and cybersecurity best practices. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, ITIL) are an advantage.
