Job Title: Senior Software Testing Engineer Company: Network Corporation Location: Yokohama, Japan Workplace: Work from home (Philippines) Job Description: We are looking for a senior software testing engineer with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in software testing for our AWS enterprise solution. With more than 3+ years of experience in AWS cloud solution. Experience in Smart Building / Building Management System is a plus. Job Responsibilities: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Responsible for the user interface (UI) testing of the next generation of mobile websites, apps, and other mobile interfaces across multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows, and mobile web. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities. Test the AWS deployed web application with a manual and automated process. Perform tests on applications and cloud infrastructures. Conduct performance system testing to verify system scalability, efficiency, and reliability. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Design, develop, and execute automation processes using open source/free/paid tools. Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track with quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts. Coordinate with the testing team to develop performance test plans and cases. Keeping updated with the latest industry developments. Skills: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Previous experience as a manual and automation test engineer. Experience in Smart Building/ facility industries is plus. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools processes, and development cycles. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Experience in testing web applications. Ability to test cross-platform or cross-browsers. Hands–on experience in automating tools such as Selenium/Katalon/Cypress/Lambda Test. Technical knowledge of web applications (JS, CSS, debugging tools, etc.) Experience with Test and writing automation scripts for AWS EC2, serverless, Lambda functions and Restful APIs API Functional Automation Testing (Not Manual) using at least one major platform or framework (open source preferred) for testing REST, web services e.g. Postman, Karate, Rest Assured UI Functional Automation Testing using one or more major platform or framework (open source preferred) e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Robot, Protractor. Performance Automation Testing using at least one major platform or tool (open source preferred) e.g. JMeter, Gatling Required proven and demonstrated skills and hands‑on expertise. At least one of the major development programming languages e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python with its associated unit testing frameworks. Experience with test plan creation and test data gathering from cloud database. Comfortable with source code management and various branching strategies using git in at least one of the major providers e.g. github, GitLab, bitbucket Strong knowledge and hands‑on expertise in at least one of the database technologies like NoSQL (Mongodb Atlas) Ability to automate utilizing at least one scripting language like – UNIX shell, PowerShell, groovy, python Ability to test cross‑platform and cross‑browsers. Validate security improvements with additional testing. Design and conduct simulated engineering attacks. Research and experiment with different types of attacks Develop methodologies for penetration testing. Document security and compliance issues. Automate common testing techniques to improve efficiency. Write technical and executive reports. Strong understanding and experience working in a High Performing Agile/Scrum Team and utilizing one of the significant Agile Lifecycle Management tools like Jira(Preferred). Strong understanding of page object models, API testing, and full‑stack web applications. Ability to work with team members from around the globe experience working with the on‑site members.
