Business Intelligence Developer Manulife Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines The Business Intelligence Developer will collaborate closely with the business and technical teams to transform data into insights and implement innovative solutions for data visualization. The role involves using BI tools such as Power BI, QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau to enable data-driven decisions based on business needs. Key Responsibilities Be partnered with users, product owners & data engineers to design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions (dashboard & interactive reporting tools on key business measures) Work directly with business stakeholders and translate business data needs into technical requirements, design, and implementation through data visualization Develop, test and maintain BI dashboards to high standards of quality and performance using the company approved BI tools (e.g. Power BI, QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau) Utilize UI/UX best practices to craft visualizations that create a single, aligned version of truth and present clear information about business results & call for action Responsible for training junior team members and assisting on setting up and/or implementing best practices to ensure the quality and consistency of the solutions Work on medium to high complex projects with the possibility of utilizing multiple BI tools for each solution Provide and maintain user accesses, report connections and troubleshoot by navigating to the management consoles or workspaces Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or any relevant field with Business Intelligence Experience: At least 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing BI solutions, preferably with Power BI, QlikView, or QlikSense Hybrid work arrangement: Amenable and ready to work onsite and from home anytime as needed Shift schedule (Mid Shift and Night Shift): Amenable to work on the assigned schedule as required Minimum Skills to Hire Technical Skills Experienced with BI technologies (e.g. QlikView, QlikSense, Power BI) Pertinent experience in Data Modelling and Data Model normalization Solid understanding of ETL methodology Strong knowledge/proficiency of relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle) and Business Intelligence area Understanding of design and development tools, SDLC methodologies and techniques (preferred) Curiosity and analytical mindset – ability to ask the right questions and propose solutions, with evidence of transforming data into actionable insights Experience working in agile (SCRUM) is an advantage Data storytelling and visualization – proficiency on creating solutions that align with business requirements and the company’s branding Soft Skills Proven experience with customer management and project administration Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Ability to allocate time efficiently, handle multiple demands and competing priorities Planning and organization skills, including the ability to prepare schedules and communicate status of overall development effort Ability to work independently and act professionally at all times Adaptable to teamwork and dynamic work environment Process Specific Knowledge Software Development Life Cycle Business Solutions Discovery Data Modelling and Normalization Tools Specific Knowledge Intermediate to Advanced Expertise on Power BI, QlikView, QlikSense Familiarity with Tableau Intermediate MS Excel Familiarity with NPrinting or MS Reports Builder Basic to Intermediate Expertise on the following relational databases MS SQL MS Access Familiarity with MS Power Applications When you join our team We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well‑being and inclusion are more than just words As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Business Development Industries Insurance Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Manulife by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
