Ensuring that cloud costs are visible across teams, helping stakeholders understand consumption and expense patterns. Implementing technical and financial strategies to reduce unnecessary spending, such as rightsizing resources, eliminating waste, choosing effective pricing models, and leveraging automation for cost control. Working closely with engineering, product, and finance teams to align cloud usage with business objectives, enabling cross-functional governance. Providing cost reports and forecasts, conducting audits of cloud expenses, and analyzing billing data for inefficiencies. Developing or deploying tools to automate cost monitoring, implement best practices, and alert teams to spending anomalies. Ensuring financial management aligns with the organization's cloud security and compliance policies. What we are looking: We are looking for a FinOps engineer of public cloud is a specialist who combines technical cloud expertise with financial acumen to optimize and manage cloud spending. This role operates at the intersection of engineering, finance, and operations and is critical for organizations leveraging cloud services like AWS & Azure. Track and understand cloud usage and costs. Identify areas to reduce waste and maximize value. Establish governance and policies for ongoing cost management.
