One of our clients, a well‑established luxury furniture brand, is looking for a HEAD OF FINANCE (Senior Manager Level) . Job Overview The HEAD OF FINANCE is responsible for leading and overseeing the company’s financial strategy, planning, and operations to ensure profitability, sustainability, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in driving financial performance, optimizing manufacturing costs, managing working capital, and supporting business growth initiatives in a competitive furniture manufacturing environment. Financial Strategy and Leadership Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy aligned with business goals and long‑term growth plans. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and senior management team on financial planning, investment, and risk management. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure operational excellence and high performance. Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Analysis Oversee preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Analyze financial performance and key manufacturing metrics (e.g., production costs, gross margins, and profitability by product line). Conduct variance analyses to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost improvement. Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Finance Supervise product costing, standard cost development, and variance analysis. Ensure accuracy of the Bill of Materials (BOM) , routings, and production cost structures. Collaborate with operations and supply‑chain teams to control inventory levels, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization. Implement cost control measures and efficiency programs across production and procurement. Treasury and Cash Flow Management Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure smooth business operations. Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and financing arrangements. Monitor collections, payables, and inventory turnover to maintain financial health. Compliance and Governance Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Oversee external and internal audits and implement recommendations for continuous improvement. Maintain integrity of financial data and ensure timely submission of statutory and management reports. Business Support and Decision‑Making Partner with production, sales, and procurement to evaluate business cases, pricing strategies, and capital investments. Provide financial insights for new product development, expansion projects, and cost‑reduction initiatives. Support ERP and financial system enhancements to improve reporting and operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within manufacturing (preferably furniture or similar industries). Strong background in cost accounting , BOM analysis , and manufacturing finance. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel/financial modelling. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
