Overview Role: Accountant (to be filled by TOA Global) | Location: Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone, Central Luzon, Philippines | Schedule: Hybrid (one in-office day per week), Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday | Employment type: Full-time We are TOA Global, supporting clients in the accounting industry across Australia, New Zealand, North America, the Philippines, South Africa, and South America. This role focuses on delivering accurate accounting support for Australian clients in a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities Reconciliation of bank accounts for multiple entities in multiple currencies, including: interest income, payment of bills, intercompany transfers/payments on behalf of other entities GST/GL/tracking categories management, including: identification of prepayments, identification of fixed assets, understanding of accruals/accrued expenses Run simple payrolls (up to basic termination calculations, adding new employees, managing leave) Prepare BAS/IAS autonomously and reconcile GST discrepancies Accounts Payable: manage end-to-end AP process (determine payments, reconcile invoices, generate ABA files), maintain AP ledger and monitor failed or unpaid items Month-end duties: update bank reconciliations, prepayments, fixed assets, accrued interest, post intercompany journals (including non-cash entries), review P&L for discrepancies, and prepare accrued expenses ledgers Qualifications and Skills At least 1 year of experience with an Australian accounting firm in public practice Payroll processing experience for a business with 20+ staff Accounts payable experience for a business with 20+ bills and regular supplier liaison Experience preparing BAS workpapers using Excel and/or Xero Experience with Xero (Blue) and Xero Practice Manager Experience running Australian payroll and managing Australian payroll tax Previous experience in an Australian accounting practice managing a portfolio of clients What We Offer A supportive and collaborative team environment Exposure to a wide range of clients and industries Continuous professional development and training Opportunity to grow into advisory or senior accounting and finance roles Health Insurance and Life Insurance coverage 21 annual paid leaves Annual salary review and performance-based increases Tenure Recognition Program Access to certifications and courses from Ab2 Institute of Accounting Free coffee and beverages, recreational break room Work-life balance and supportive team culture Onsite parking Values BE AWESOME: We celebrate success, reward outstanding performance, and foster a supportive environment KEEP IT REAL: We value honesty, accountability, and open communication BRING THE WOW: We strive for excellence and go the extra mile DREAM BIG: We pursue continuous learning, exploration, and improvement Join TOA Global and experience the difference.
