Omada One Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone, Central Luzon, Philippines Senior AU Accountant Omada One Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone, Central Luzon, Philippines We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Payroll Specialist with at least 5 years of solid payroll experience, particularly within the Australian accounting and compliance landscape. This senior-level position requires deep expertise in Xero and Microsoft Excel, strong knowledge of Australian tax and labor laws, and the ability to manage end-to-end accounting functions with minimal supervision. Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Payroll Specialist with robust Australian payroll and compliance expertise to manage end-to-end accounting and payroll duties, ensure compliance, and support management decisions with accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation and execution of Australian payroll including superannuation, PAYG withholding, and STP reporting with high accuracy and timeliness. Manage end-to-end bookkeeping activities including bank reconciliations, AP/AR, general ledger maintenance, and month-end/year-end closing. Oversee the preparation and lodgment of BAS, IAS, and other statutory requirements in compliance with Australian standards. Provide financial reports and insights to support management decisions. Maintain well-organized documentation and filing systems, ensuring all records are up-to-date and audit-ready. Handle client communication and provide clear, concise responses to accounting and payroll inquiries. Support the onboarding of junior team members, where applicable, and serve as a subject matter expert in payroll and compliance. Review credit applications, maintain supplier relations, and assist in ad hoc administrative support. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with extensive exposure to Australian payroll and compliance. Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel is a must. Advanced knowledge of Australian accounting principles, tax regulations, and payroll legislation. High attention to detail and a proven track record of minimizing errors in financial transactions and payroll. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other cloud-based accounting systems such as MYOB or QuickBooks (Australian versions). Exposure to multi-client accounting environments or professional services settings.
