Senior Specialist for Storage, VMware, Backup, Server

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and optimize enterprise storage systems, VMware virtualization platforms, backup solutions, and server installations.
  • Maintain the stability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise.
  • Take ownership of tasks, apply automation to improve efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure, and maintain enterprise storage solutions
  • Manage VMware environments (ESXi hosts, vCenter, VMs)
  • Plan and execute server installations, configurations, and upgrades
  • Administer Veeam Backup & Replication for data integrity and availability
  • Automate routine tasks, deployments, and monitoring
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot to maintain high availability
  • Maintain disaster recovery strategies and documentation
  • Collaborate with Network, Security, and Applications teams
  • Capacity planning and performance tuning for storage and virtualization
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices
  • Take ownership of projects and deliverables with timely, high-quality execution
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Participate in on-call rotation and escalation for critical incidents

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years in enterprise IT focusing on storage, VMware, and backup
  • Strong ownership and accountability
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
  • Expertise in Veeam backup technologies
  • Hands-on experience with SAN/storage systems (e.g., HPE Alletra)
  • Experience with automation tools and PowerShell
  • Windows and Linux server installation/administration is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
