Cloud Ops Engineer

Salary: P160,000 to P200,000 (Monthly Package)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (06:00 AM - 03:00 PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in an Infrastructure role, with specific expertise in AWS Cloud Platform engineering. Possession of the AWS Certified SysOps Engineer certification would be advantageous.
• A deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their role in maximizing quality within development teams.
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
• Strong knowledge in containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• AWS Cloud experience - CloudFormation, Tags, ASGs, EC2, VPCs, CW, RDS, DDB, SNS etc. Knowledge of core AWS Cloud Services (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, RDS, Lambda)
• AWS microservices – Lambda / API Gateway, SQS, SNS
• Capable of identifying and addressing critical security issues, implementing automation to prevent recurrence, and designing effective disaster recovery processes.
• Possess expertise in analyzing performance bottlenecks and optimizing software and system performance as an AWS subject matter expert.

Nice to Have:

• Windows/Linux operating system experience
• Azure Cloud experience

What will you do?

• People Leadership - Work with System Architects to assist in the design and personally deliver infrastructure including compute, network, communications, and storage components.
• Routine Monitoring and Reporting - You’ll review these regularly with the IS/Infrastructure leadership. In cloud, you will regularly utilize AWS features such as Trusted Advisor, Guard Duty, and Well-Architected tools and produce actionable plans.
• Participate in high-profile Delivery Projects -You will collaborate within a virtual team comprising members from Development, Support, Testing, and Service Desk to guarantee the provision of high-quality services and applications. You will implement automation solutions for the deployment of patches and routine maintenance across the entire organizational infrastructure. Additionally, you will keep abreast of best practices, emerging threats, and opportunities to enhance the program's performance, agility, and cost-effectiveness.
• Cyber Project Delivery- Collaborate with the Cyber Team to enhance the organization's security measures throughout the business. We are entrusted with the personal information of students, and we take this extremely seriously. With every other member of the team, you’ll be an expert voice in ensuring that Security and Privacy are a fundamental part of every design and deliverable.
