Senior Multi-Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at OpsWerks

About the role: As a Senior Multi-Cloud Support Engineer , you will manage and optimize multi-cloud environments to ensure high availability, performance, security, and operational efficiency across mission-critical systems. You will collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) partners and cross-functional teams, act as an escalation point for user support, lead investigations and systems administration, and contribute to process documentation, reporting, data analysis, automation initiatives, and solution recommendations. You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in cloud platforms and services and may influence operational strategies and objectives. This role includes coaching and mentoring junior engineers and leading engineering projects and programs.

About you

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience integrating DevOps or CI/CD practices within public, private, or hybrid cloud infrastructures.
  • Hands-on experience in technical customer success and support, with a focus on systems platforms, infrastructure, services, or related applications.

Required Technical Skills

  • Cloud Expertise: Minimum of 5 years’ experience with AWS, plus experience with at least one other public cloud platform (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud), including administration, maintenance, and support. Design or architecting is a plus.
  • DevOps Tools: More than 2–3 years of experience integrating version control, artifact repositories, and build tools (e.g., Git, GitLab, GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker) with deployment platforms such as Kubernetes .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: AWS or other relevant cloud certifications.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (Information Technology, Computer Science, etc.).
