Enterprise Risk Specialist/Credit Assistant

As an Enterprise Risk Specialist/Credit Assistant, you will be responsible for evaluating the borrowers or potential borrowers of the bank based on inherent risks and opportunities. You will also recommend appropriate facilities with mitigants in place to safeguard the bank's interests.
How you will contribute- Conduct interviews and ocular inspections with clients to determine their risk profile.
- Prepare credit proposals with all gathered information and internal tools for presentation to CRECOM and EXCOM.
- Present credit proposals to CRECOM to assist the team in achieving its goals. Conduct financial analysis to assess the client's capacity to repay.
- Stay updated with the credit policy manual and risk bulletins to ensure compliance with the bank's policies and other regulations.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers during loan packaging, identifying credit risks and acceptable mitigants for approval.
- Plan for interim extensions, client calls, or information gathering (such as AFS, bank checkings, appraisals) in advance to ensure timely renewals and avoid expired lines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Finance, or related fields.
- Knowledge of banking and financial credit evaluation/appraisal processes. Familiarity with accounting, audit, tax services, banking, and investment industries is a plus.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization and with external parties; inquisitive mindset.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and credit policies, financial analysis, and strong written communication skills.
