About the Role

As an Enterprise Risk Specialist/Credit Assistant, you are responsible for evaluating the borrowers or potential borrowers of the bank based on inherent risks and opportunities that the bank may undertake. You will also recommend appropriate facilities with mitigants in place to safeguard the bank's interests.

How you will contribute
  • Conduct interviews and ocular inspections with clients to determine their risk profile.
  • Prepare credit proposals with all gathered information and internal tools for presentation to CRECOM and EXCOM.
  • Present credit proposals to CRECOM to aid in decision-making. Prepare financial analyses to assess clients' repayment capacity.
  • Stay updated with the credit policy manual and risk bulletins to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers during loan packaging, identifying credit risks and suitable mitigants for approval.
  • Plan interim extensions, client calls, or information gathering (e.g., AFS, bank checks, appraisals) to ensure timely renewals and prevent expired lines.
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Banking and Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of banking, financial evaluation, credit appraisal, accounting, audit, tax services, and investment sectors.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels and external parties.
  • Basic accounting knowledge, understanding of credit policies, financial analysis skills, and strong written communication.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
