Role

Network Operations Center Specialist

What can you expect in a Network Operations Center Specialist role with TaskUs: You will help ensure maximum service availability and performance across TaskUs infrastructure, monitor infrastructure, development, and environmental alerts for 24x7 operations, and provide early warning and rapid response for alerts.

Think of yourself as someone who will monitor network infrastructure health, perform troubleshooting, and escalate incidents and requests as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate alerts and escalate to appropriate IT technicians for investigation.
  • Investigate issues, resolve problems, and communicate status.
  • Perform routine health checks beyond automated monitoring to detect service-affecting issues quickly.
  • Respond to alarms, alerts, or abnormal behaviors detected through monitoring.
  • Provide analysis from monitoring systems to proactively identify network issues.
  • Monitor the ticket queue and respond/resolve service requests as required.
  • Engage in regular network troubleshooting and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Generate periodic network performance reports and provide metrics as requested.
  • Ensure all activities are documented and tracked in the ticketing system.
  • Execute procedures related to event, incident, and change management; adhere to escalation and troubleshooting processes.
  • Maintain a team-focused attitude and contribute to a healthy, respectful atmosphere.
  • Perform duties in a 24x7x365 support environment and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of Network Administration experience with hands-on experience managing switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS, network design and load balancers; CCNA certification; familiarity with routing protocols and transport technologies (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, RIP, IPVPN, MPLS, FR/ATM).
  • Understanding of ITIL framework is a plus.
  • Experience creating, utilizing, and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Good English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Confident, goal-oriented, with the ability to set and meet short- and long-term objectives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and minimal supervision.
  • Ability to initiate troubleshooting and engage appropriate resources; work with urgency within established processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to change.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; experience with SolarWinds tools is needed.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Wireshark and internal network management tools.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to work on shifting schedules.
Education / Certifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent engineering experience.

  • Schedule: Rotational, 4x11
  • Setup: Full-time onsite
