Revenue Recovery Specialist (Medical Biller) | WFO - Ortigas The Revenue Recovery Specialist is responsible for managing and resolving outstanding insurance claims and patient balances. This role ensures timely and accurate reimbursement by following up with payers, appealing denied claims, and identifying trends that impact revenue. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the revenue cycle, payer policies, and healthcare reimbursement methodologies. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Review and analyze aging reports to identify unpaid or underpaid claims. Follow up with insurance companies and third‑party payers to resolve outstanding balances. Submit appeals, demands, and rebuttals. Communicate with patients and internal departments to resolve billing issues. Document all activities and maintain accurate records in the EHR/PM system. Monitor trends in denials and reimbursement delays and escalate as appropriate. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations. Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards. Qualifications And Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of experience in medical billing, AR follow‑up, or revenue recovery. Experience with commercial payers. IDR recovery efforts, preferred. Skills/Specialized Knowledge Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes. Familiarity with EOBs, remittance advice, and payer portals. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
