JOB PROFILE JOB TITLE Specialist: Incubation Projects REPORTING TO Manager: Incubation Division JOB GRADE C5 Minimum Mid-point R538 196 R633 172 NO. OFINCUMBENTS 1 DIVISION Seda Technology Programme LOCATION Seda National Office MAIN PURPOSE OFTHE JOB To facilitate the implementation of the Seda incubation strategy, capacitate and support technology business incubators to ensure the development of competitive and sustainable enterprises KEY PERFORMANCEAREAS Provide operational support in the establishment of technology business incubation and accelerators in accordance with Seda’s Incubation Provide operational support to existing and new technology business incubators (TBI’s) and accelerators Monitor and evaluate TBI’s and accelerators performance and recommend appropriate interventions Network and build effective linkages with relevant stakeholders Manage the effective performance and efficiency levels of a portfolio of incubators /accelerators Facilitate and/or provide mentoring and coaching of incubator REQUIRED MINIMUMQUALIFICATION Matric (NQF Level 4) plus a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Operations Management or Business Management or Incubation Management or Entrepreneurship Management or Project Management or Computer Science. Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Operations Management or Business Management or Incubation Management or Entrepreneurship Management or Computer Science or Project Management as added advantage REQUIRED WORKEXPERIENCE 4-6 years’ experience in Enterprise Development/Technology Business Incubation and Business Advising Proven experience in an innovation and technology-driven industry or organization Experience in assessing the viability and sustainability of small enterprises In depth understanding of the enterprise development and incubation/accelerators ecosystem Advanced Computer literacy - MS Office and MS Projects Valid South African Drivers Licence NHERENT JOBREQUIREMENT CRITICALCOMPETENCIES Advisory Service Communication Stakeholder Engagement Analytical Business Acumen Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Planning & Organising Monitoring & Evaluation Performance Driven Team Work Adaptability & Flexibility Policy Adherence Negotiation Basic Computer Skills Office Management NB: It is the organisation’s intention to promote equity and representivity in terms of race, gender and people living with disability as per the set numerical targets contained in the organizational Employment Equity Plan (EE Plan).
