Responsibilities Lead a team of software developers in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance APIs using Java Spring Boot for BFSI clients, with focus on Insurance. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and prioritize deliverables. Design scalable, reliable, and secure API architectures, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and design patterns. Review code, provide constructive feedback, and promote continuous improvement in coding practices and development processes. Drive technical initiatives, such as architecture enhancements, performance optimization, and tooling improvements, to enhance team productivity and product quality. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including QA engineers, DevOps specialists, and business analysts, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of API solutions. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in API development and software engineering. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java Spring Boot API development. Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring development teams. Deep understanding of API design principles, microservices architecture, and RESTful web services. Proficiency in Java programming language, Spring framework, and related technologies. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration abilities. Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices is desirable. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive technical excellence within the team.
