Role: US Bookkeeper / Accountant
- Maintain accurate financial records and manage the general ledger by reconciling accounts and correcting discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve variances promptly.
- Record all income, expenses, and financial transactions in QuickBooks with precision.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and follow-up on overdue accounts while maintaining strong vendor and client relationships.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor expenses, identify variances, and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Prepare financial reports for management review and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Collaborate with accountants to prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
- Utilize MS Excel and Google Sheets for reporting and analysis.
- Respond to accounting-related phone calls and department emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or Accounting Assistant.
- Proven experience with USA, Australia, or offshore accounting practices is required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Experience in payroll processing, bank reconciliation, billing, and tax preparation.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working remotely and managing time effectively.
- Permanent remote (must have own equipment)
- 5-7 USD per hour fixed (paid bi-weekly via Payoneer/Paypal)
- 20 or 40 hours per week (weekends off)
- Pacific Standard Time (Night Shift)
