Overview

The Reference Data Services Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own job.

This is a junior analyst position within the MAC Documentation Operations Unit. Ensuring that assigned day to day activities for the processing of trading legal agreements are completed in a timely manner with a primary focus on data quality support of global contract negotiations and trades which includes document review, data entry, exception reporting along with document scanning and document warehousing for various legal documents, including ISDA, SFT Agreements (MRA, GMRA, MSLA, MSFTA and Futures Agreements).

Responsibilities
  • Remediates data in the Clients and Security Coding systems
  • Performs trend analysis and identifying root causes; implementing or suggesting solutions based on the root cause analysis
  • Liaises with other teams globally to ensure data quality is remediated
  • Provides a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders
  • Owns ad-hoc projects from inception through to completion
  • Provides tangible metrics to Management
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, driving compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications
  • Eye for detail and ability to process data quickly without errors
  • Ability to read and comprehend a variety of documentation
  • Ability to manage control practices demonstrating a risk-based approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data remediation work streams and capital markets data knowledge
  • Takes ownership of allocated work and is accountable
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot issues and escalate when needed
  • Financial services related qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Working in APAC shift (from 9am to 6pm). AR1 hybrid.
