Settlements Reference Data Services Junior Analyst - APAC and EMEA Shift

Overview

The Reference Data Services Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. They must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way and be sensitive to audience diversity. The impact of the job holder is limited to the quality of the tasks and services provided and scoped to their own role.

Responsibilities
  • Willing to work in APAC shift (from 9am to 6pm), with one year of training during the EMEA shift (4PM–1AM).
  • Authenticate and remediate client data using multiple external and internal Citi systems.
  • Liaise with internal Citi teams and external clients globally to ensure data quality is remediated.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, adhering to applicable laws, rules and regulations, policies, and ethical standards; escalate and report control issues with transparency.
  • Maker (1st level) processing with training on Checker (2nd level) review to follow.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing with occasional weekend release testing as part of a team.
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of working experience.
  • Experience contributing to data remediation work streams and projects.
  • Experience maintaining client static data within a capital markets environment.
  • Takes ownership of allocated work and is accountable.
  • Able to identify, troubleshoot issues and escalate when needed.
  • Financial services related qualifications; knowledge of SSI (Standard Settlement Instruction) and SWIFT messages.
  • Education: university degree or equivalent industry experience preferable.
  • English verbal and written skills required to a high standard.
