Overview Job Title: Legal Administrator Location: Remote Start Date: Immediate Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support our client in the legal field. This role requires proven experience in a commercial law firm (preferably in Australia), advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, and strong familiarity with legal systems such as CLIO. If you are highly organized, tech-savvy, and confident in managing complex legal documentation, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Format, proofread, and edit a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, internal memos, and correspondence using Microsoft Word. Ensure all legal documents comply with firm standards and formatting guidelines. Manage revisions through redlining, track changes, and version control. Maintain organised electronic and physical filing systems for legal documentation. Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and correspondence handling. Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and legal summaries. Maintain strict confidentiality across all legal and business matters. Qualifications Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Administrator in a commercial law firm setting; experience in Australian commercial law firms is highly preferred. Strong working knowledge of legal processes, documentation standards, and legal terminology. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including document formatting, styles, templates, footnotes, tables of contents, and document comparison. Familiarity with CLIO or similar legal practice management systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high standard of professionalism. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
