We are seeking Data Governance professionals with a strong background in designing and implementing Data Operating Models, with a focus on People, Process, and Technology. This role requires excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in at least two data governance implementation projects and be comfortable engaging with both business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Data Governance frameworks that align with enterprise data strategy.
  • Lead or support the development of Data Operating Models, including roles & responsibilities, governance processes, and enabling technologies.
  • Define and establish data stewardship, ownership, and accountability models across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and operationalize data policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct impact assessments, gap analysis, and readiness assessments to inform governance implementation.
  • Work closely with IT, data management, and business units to integrate data governance into daily operations.
  • Evaluate and implement data governance tools and technologies to support metadata management, data quality, and lineage.
  • Facilitate governance councils or working groups, ensuring alignment between business and data strategy.
  • Provide training and guidance on data governance principles and practices across the organization.
  • Monitor and report on data governance KPIs and metrics to measure adoption and effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to assess complex data and governance issues independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently, managing deliverables, and driving outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with at least 2 full-cycle data governance or data management implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Ataccama).
  • Good understanding of metadata, data quality, data cataloguing, data ownership, and stewardship concepts.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of leading or co-leading data governance implementations at scale.
  • Experience in driving stakeholder engagement and change management .
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data operating models , and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Certifications such as DCAM, CDMP, Collibra Ranger/Steward , or equivalent are a plus.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as banking, insurance, healthcare , or telecom .
