This Opportunity The Junior Management Accountant will play a supportive role in the financial team, focusing on assisting with the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial data. This role provides exposure to various accounting tasks and helps meet corporate reporting requirements. Responsibilities Perform daily bank and other account reconciliations and record related financial transactions in the company books and records Review expenditures for compliance with policies (petty cash, employee expense claims) Post expense invoices and credit notes and ensure correct coding in the system Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliations where applicable Communicate with relevant suppliers to process invoicing or payment queries Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures Potentially assist with basic payroll preparation, ensuring accurate and timely processing Handle external and internal queries by phone and email Support the preparation of monthly/quarterly regulatory and tax returns (WHT, VAT, Income tax, etc.) Liaise with tax compliance third parties and the ministry of finance/tax authorities (BIR) on related matters Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to management Prepare, review, and file local regulatory returns for business permits and taxes Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely management accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Assist with the preparation of statutory books and coordinate with local auditors to ensure accurate and timely records, including responding to audit queries Support the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements for each entity to ensure standardized and accurate reporting Assist with other accounting tasks as requested Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance Management, or a related field Holds a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, CIMA, TESDA, CAT or equivalent) is an advantage 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and local regulatory tax compliance filings Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications Hands-on experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero) is an asset Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in financial data handling Effective communication skills (written and verbal) for liaising with suppliers, auditors, regulators (BIR & PEZA), and management Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Working Model We provide regular in-office training during your first months to help you thrive. After you’re up to speed, you’ll have the flexibility to transition to our hybrid work model (currently 2 days per week in office).
