Overview

Join Comcast as a Tier 2 NOC Engineer in Pasig, National Capital Region, Philippines. You will configure and troubleshoot Masergy solutions, act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, and help ensure maximum network performance and availability.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot escalated issues with external customers and network/telecom providers; provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage escalations and drive issues to resolution with internal teams, vendors, and partners.
  • Utilize existing tools to proactively identify and resolve problems with systems, applications, and networks.
  • Configure routers, firewalls, switches, APs, and NIDs using standard and non-standard templates.
  • Perform circuit, router, switch, AP and firewall managed service requests for new and existing customers.
  • Maintain and groom MPLS, VPN and SD-WAN Underlay Transports; investigate and document reasons for outages (RFO).
  • Document all pertinent troubleshooting information in the ticket system; communicate updates clearly to customers.
  • Analyze, recommend, and implement troubleshooting steps to resolve network issues and improve performance; provide hands-on support to Tier 1; assist in technical training and post-mortem analyses.
  • Accept call overflows for frontline NOC during major outages.
  • Understand/Knowledge of CCNP/JNCIP level or equivalent; NSE4-NSE7 certifications or equivalent experience (NRS1).
Skills / Abilities / Knowledge
  • Advanced TCP/IP and UDP concepts; routing protocols such as BGP, IBGP, and OSPF.
  • Strong knowledge of NAT, VRRP/HSRP, session-based firewalls, QoS, L2 VPLS and MPLS network principles; robust LAN/WAN knowledge.
  • Proficient in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for large-scale network deployments; ability to analyze problems quickly and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, and decision-making skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail during due diligence and impact assessments.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field (preferred; Comcast may consider relevant coursework/experience).
Experience
  • Minimum seven (7) years of LAN/WAN implementation or support experience (routers, switches, firewalls, NIDs), preferably in a service provider environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Alcatel (Nokia) ESP, Cisco routers and switches, Fortinet firewalls, Overture and Adva NIDs.
  • Extensive experience configuring and maintaining high-availability networks; CCNP/CCSP level or equivalent required.
Certificates / Licenses
  • CCNP or higher; Linux, MCITP, Python, Fortinet NSE-4 and above or equivalent preferred.
