Position: Sourcing Manager - LazMall Retail Operations - Philippines. Join Lazada to lead sourcing initiatives that enable commercial success, stock availability, and competitive advantage in a fast-moving e-commerce market.
As part of an agile, AI-powered Retail organization, you will collaborate with commercial, logistics, and operations teams to solve sourcing challenges, optimize efficiency, and deliver impact at scale.
Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end procurement process from purchase orders to inbound, storage and outbound fulfillment.
- Secure stock availability by monitoring purchasing flows, resolving procurement bottlenecks, and ensuring Ready to Ship status.
- Drive reverse logistics activities, including return to suppliers, scrap/write-off and re-inbound, to minimize obsolescence and reduce fulfillment costs.
- Support commercial strategy and ad-hoc initiatives by collaborating with logistics operations to enhance revenue and improve P&L performance while ensuring operations efficiencies.
- Manage return to suppliers and scrap processes (reverse logistics) to reduce fulfillment cost and minimize stock obsolescence.
- Act as an advisor to commercial in negotiating contractual terms related to supply chain and procurement.
- Partner with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth end-to-end procurement and fulfillment.
- Represent the Retail team with suppliers, commercial, and other stakeholders to align operations with business goals and enable win-win sourcing solutions.
- Share best practices and insights with the regional team to drive consistent supply chain excellence across markets.
- Share best practices to enhance the knowledge of local sourcing teams, while mentoring colleagues to drive continuous improvement and ensure consistent execution.
- Apply knowledge of sourcing, procurement, and supply chain practices to help local teams perform effectively.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects that drive measurable value, supporting Retail initiatives beyond core responsibilities, enhancing user experience or identifying performance improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement or vendor management, preferably in Retail, FMCG or e-commerce; prior experience managing a small team (2-3 people) is a plus
- Strong supplier management skills with proven ability to solve operational issues and secure favorable terms and reliable supply
- Hands-on experience in managing supplier performance, procurement operations and troubleshooting supply issues
- Solid understanding of logistics and warehouse processes, with ability to translate business needs into operational execution
- Analytical mindset, with strong proficiency in Excel (SQL knowledge a plus)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence across diverse teams
- Agile, adaptable and thriving in a dynamic, high-growth environment
- Strengthen supplier partnerships to achieve high fill rates, on-time deliveries, and reduced stock aging
- Build trust-based relationships with commercial, logistics and supplier stakeholders, becoming the go-to partner for sourcing and supply continuity
- Improve procurement lead times and supplier SLA performance
- Deliver measurable improvements in reverse logistics, reducing scrap and minimizing obsolescence
