Overview

The Sustainability Manager will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company’s sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and global best practices. This role is responsible for driving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies, promoting sustainable practices across operations, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the company’s sustainability strategy and roadmap.
  • Align sustainability initiatives with business objectives, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory standards.
  • Advise senior management on emerging sustainability trends, risks, and opportunities.
Program Development & Implementation
  • Design and oversee environmental, social, and governance (ESG) programs.
  • Lead projects that reduce environmental impact, such as energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste management initiatives.
  • Drive green building practices and certifications (e.g., LEED, EDGE, ISO 14001).
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations.
  • Develop sustainability metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
  • Prepare sustainability reports, disclosures, and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Operations, HR, Procurement, Marketing) to integrate sustainability into business practices.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators, industry groups, and community organizations.
  • Promote awareness and training programs to embed sustainability culture among employees.
  • Research and recommend innovative technologies and practices that support sustainable operations.
  • Benchmark industry best practices to continuously improve performance.
  • Monitor progress and recommend corrective actions to meet sustainability goals.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSR, LEED AP, ISO 14001) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR), ESG, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD), and sustainability certifications.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
