Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, operations, quality assurance) to deliver integrated solutions. Provide technical leadership and direction in the design and development of new products or systems. Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve engineering processes, product quality, and efficiency. Perform technical reviews and audits of engineering designs, prototypes, and processes to ensure high standards of quality and performance. Continuously assess and improve engineering workflows, methodologies, and tools to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Implement best practices in software development (for software engineers) or design, testing, and manufacturing (for hardware engineers). Work closely with product management, sales, marketing, and other departments to understand product requirements and ensure engineering alignment. Liaise with external partners, vendors, and suppliers as needed to support product development and technical solutions. Ensure engineering processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, OSHA, etc.). Oversee the engineering department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of engineering projects, designs, test results, and reports. Prepare regular progress reports for upper management, highlighting project statuses, risks, achievements, and resource needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Software, etc.) or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. At least 5-7 years of experience in engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage engineering teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Strong experience managing engineering projects, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other process improvement methodologies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
