Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Manager Team Leader to oversee our team of Product Managers and drive the success of our product portfolio, which includes top international brands with strong brand support. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the Product Manager Team Leader will be responsible for leading the product management team, shaping product strategy, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This supervisory role requires extensive product management experience, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to foster collaboration across departments to achieve successful product outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure team success and professional growth.
Delegate tasks effectively while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Product Strategy & Vision
Collaborate with the Sales Manager and VP of Sales and Marketing to define the product visions, strategies, and roadmaps that align with company goals.
Oversee the development and execution of product plans for a diverse portfolio of over 20 international brands, ensuring they meet market demands and customer needs.
Vendor & Inventory Management Oversight
Guide the team in selecting products and managing vendor relationships with international brands to secure favorable terms, pricing, and robust brand support.
Ensure efficient inventory management processes are in place to optimize product availability, minimize overstocking, and clear ageing inventory.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a liaison between the product management team, sales teams, marketing, and other departments to align on product launches, sales initiatives, and promotional strategies.
Work closely with the Sales Manager to provide the sales team with comprehensive product information, pricing strategies, and market insights.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
Oversee market research efforts to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive benchmarks.
Guide the team in leveraging insights to refine product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor key product performance metrics and ensure the team delivers actionable insights and recommendations.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports to the Sales Manager and VP of Sales and Marketing on product profitability, product sales performance, and strategic recommendations.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Implement best practices in product management, vendor relations, and inventory processes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies across all product-related activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the IT or technology industry.
· Proven expertise in managing multi-brand product portfolios, including networking products, CCTV systems, and other IT-related solutions, with experience handling international brands.
· Strong negotiation skills with vendors to secure favorable pricing and support.
· Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments.
· Results-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to rapidly changing market conditions.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience leading product management teams in a technology-driven organization with international brand portfolios.
· Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.
· Familiarity with modern product management methodologies and frameworks.
