Job Summary

The Production Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily production operations in the manufacturing area, ensuring that products are produced efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and hands-on experience in food manufacturing, particularly in snack production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production team members to achieve daily production targets.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, hygiene, and company quality standards.
  • Train, guide, and motivate team members to improve skills, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Oversee equipment operation and coordinate with maintenance for any required repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct regular line checks to ensure product specifications, packaging, and labeling meet quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
  • Promote a safe and positive work environment, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts within the team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Production Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar role in food manufacturing (snack industry experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work on shifting schedules as required.
