If this sounds like you, then we’d love to talk. Responsibilities Develop and execute the overall trading strategy for PDAX, aligning with the broader Treasury and company objectives. Identify and capitalize on market opportunities in both crypto and FX spot markets. Drive innovation in trading practices, including the adoption of new technologies and strategies. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Crypto Trading Desk and FX Trading Desk, ensuring efficient and compliant execution of trades. Manage and optimize liquidity across all trading venues (on-chain, off-chain, OTC) as well as active management of treasury market positions including pre-funding inventory and prop BTC treasury strategy. Direct the development, implementation, and monitoring of in-app algorithmic trading strategies and risk management. Ensure robust pre-trade and post-trade controls are in place and adhered to. Collaborate closely with the Treasury Risk team to define and enforce trading limits, manage market exposure (price, liquidity, counterparty risk), and implement effective hedging strategies. Ensure all trading activities are in strict compliance with BSP regulations, AML/CFT guidelines, and internal policies. Implement best execution practices and continually optimize trading efficiency while minimizing market impact. Build, mentor, and lead a team of high-performing traders and analysts. Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and strong risk awareness within the team. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify growth opportunities for team members. Work closely with the Head of Treasury and other Treasury leads to ensure cohesive departmental strategy. Liaise with Product and Technology teams to enhance trading platforms, build new functionalities, and improve trading infrastructure and logic. Work with Operations teams to create best-in-class risk frameworks and processes that enhance exchange operations. Collaborate with Legal and Compliance departments to navigate evolving regulatory landscapes. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree (e.g., CFA) is highly preferred. Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in trading and execution within a reputable financial institution, preferably with significant exposure to FX and digital assets/cryptocurrencies. At least 2-5 years in a leadership role, managing a trading desk or team. Proven track record of profitability and effective risk management in a trading environment. Experience with both traditional financial markets (FX, fixed income, derivatives) and cryptocurrency markets is a strong advantage. Prior experience in a regulated VASP or exchange is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of both traditional and decentralized financial markets particularly digital assets, FX, options and bonds. Good grasp of market microstructure, order book dynamics, and execution algorithms. Familiarity with trading platforms, order management systems (OMS), and execution management systems (EMS). Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) for data analysis and algorithmic strategy development is a plus but not required. Solid grasp of financial instruments, derivatives, and hedging strategies. Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop talent. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
