Purpose of Role:

The Assets & Configuration Management Analyst plays a vital supporting role in the execution and continuous improvement of the IT Asset Management and Configuration Management processes across Inchcape’s global operations. Reporting directly to the Assets & Configuration Management Owner, this role helps ensure data accuracy, lifecycle traceability, and process compliance within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and asset repositories.

This position collaborates with regional IT teams, project delivery, and service owners to maintain the integrity and completeness of critical IT service data, in alignment with ITIL and Inchcape’s global service management standards.

Job Role and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records in the CMDB and asset inventory
  • Track IT asset lifecycle from acquisition to retirement
  • Validate data during service transitions and conduct quality reviews
  • Generate reports and dashboards on KPIs (e.g., asset traceability, CMDB completeness)
  • Support audit readiness and enforce compliance with global standards
  • Collaborate with regional teams to resolve data gaps and ensure configuration accuracy
  • Assist in training, documentation, and tool testing for process improvements
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in IT Operations, Service Management, or similar roles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with ITSM/CMDB tools (e.g., ManageEngine, EndPoint Central)
  • Basic understanding of ITIL, especially Asset and Configuration Management
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
  • Experience in user lifecycle management and compliance standards (e.g., ITGC)
