Structural Technician, Bridges and Civil Structures — join a world-leading management and consultancy firm. WSP in Manila provides CAD support to engineering projects, developing structural drawings from basic data supplied.
Responsibilities- Comply with all role-specific SHEQ obligations.
- Prepare engineering drawings from sketches and design information under supervision.
- Comply with CAD Standards and Quality Systems relevant to the practice area and apply techniques and procedures commonly used in the field.
- Develop time management skills and flexibility to manage a varying workload.
- Agree on priorities and deadlines for drawing production with the Project Lead.
- Develop general arrangement drawings from the engineer’s sketches and other design team drawings, and translate sketches into coordinated details.
- Ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy of drawings and presentation materials.
- Adhere to drafting standards and procedures.
- Follow QA, document control, and archiving guidelines on all work.
- Collaborate with project team members on specified aspects of the project.
- Perform tasks assigned by the Principal Civil Technician / Drafting Discipline Lead / Discipline Lead / Regional Team Executive in line with experience and qualifications.
- Graduate of any technical course or at least three (3) years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture.
- 3–7 years of relevant structural drafting experience.
- Experience working on projects as CAD support and as part of a CAD team.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation; familiarity with ProjectWise, Bluebeam Revu; proficiency in Revit, OBM, and Dynamo is an advantage.
- Preferably with experience on Australian projects.
- Quality and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and cost.
- Open to feedback and able to adapt; flexible to meet project outcomes.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a collaborative team approach.
- Balance innovation, quality and technical excellence with timely delivery.
