Context
Position Summary
The structural design engineer is part of a relatively small team that has to work with limited supervision. The environment is fast paced, and initiative is expected. Innovative thinking is equally expected and not just encouraged. The aforementioned setting requires substantial knowledge of calculations, modeling, codes, and other professional tools.
Missions/Main Duties

• Performs structural engineering calculations, modeling and analysis;
• Solves problems of moderate to high level complexity in accordance with project requirements;
• Ensures safety, constructability and cost effectiveness of the design;
• Understands applicable codes and specifications; and
• Coordinates with different disciplines such as Architectural and MEPF.
  

Profile/Skills
Qualifications / Skills And Knowledge Requirements

• Knowledge of discipline local and international codes (NSCP, PD 1096, DPWH DGCS, ACI, AISC, ASCE, UBC, etc.) or project specific standards, specifications, design criteria and construction methodology;
• Knowledgeable with MIDAS, ETABS, STAAD or equivalent structural software for analysis and design.
• Knowledgeable with SAFE or equivalent foundation design software.
• Knowledgeable with RAMCon or equivalent connection design software;
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or equivalent 3D viewer software;
• Advanced computer and software skills (structural analysis software and spreadsheets);
• Analytical and problem solving skills; and
• Spatial ability.
  

Educational Requirements

• Accredited degree in Civil Engineering;
• Registered professional with at least three (3) years of related experience in the design of vertical structures, preferably railway stations; and
• Masters degree in structural engineering an advantage
