  • Enable scalable, secure, and standards-compliant data operations that support carbon accounting, biodiversity monitoring, and community development reporting.
  • Employment type: Project-based (Full-time)
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure and big data systems. Experience in environmental, climate, or sustainability projects is a strong advantage.
  • Infrastructure-focused – Thrive in building scalable, cloud-native data systems;
  • Detail-oriented – Ensure data integrity, security, and performance at every step;
  • Collaborative – Work well with analysts, field teams, and external partners;
  • Mission-aligned –Passionate about using engineering to support climate and environmental goals;
  • Technical Skills:

Cloud platforms (Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions)

Data orchestration (Apache Airflow, Prefect)

Programming (Python, SQL, PySpark)

Data modeling and schema design for analytical workloads
