Job purpose Business Development Director is expected to originate new business opportunities for RENOVA in renewable energy projects in Philippines. Supported by Global Business team and other experienced functional teams of the company, the Business Development Director will lead the project origination team, cultivate relationships with senior management of key industry players in the market, originate project and partnership opportunities, and close negotiations and transactions, as well as lead the investment decision process with the investment committee and Board of Directors. Responsibilities Originate and develop new business opportunities in renewable energy projects in the Philippines. Lead the project origination team and coordinate with in-house engineering, procurement, financing and country teams. Cultivate relationships with senior management of key industry players and stakeholders. Close negotiations and transactions and drive the investment decision process with the investment committee and Board of Directors. Experience Required (Must) A strong desire to contribute to solving global environmental issues and to the renewable energy industry. Alignment with the company mission and vision. At least 5 years of working experience in or for IPP and/or infrastructure sector in the Philippines with hands-on project origination experience as principal and/or advisor. Hands-on experience in project development through the life-cycle of the project. Existing network with key industry players in the Philippines. Management experience of a team and/or a company in a multi-cultural, multi-functional team environment. Flexibility and versatility to adapt to constantly changing dynamics of the renewable energy industry and the firm. Ability to travel frequently to target markets. Excellent written and oral English communication skills (professional business level). Hardworking, “can-do” attitude; and Teamwork skills.
