Overview The Finance Services Team Lead - Reporting will provide high level business analysis and results, provide recommendations, leadership, direction and coordination of operational activities within the team in accordance with established policies and procedures, including driving change, optimizing service delivery, and professional guidance. The role will be proficient in various accounting reporting standards across all QBE regions (IFRS, UK/US GAAP, IAS, Australian Accounting Standards). Functions include Financial Planning and Analysis / Management and Expense Reporting / Project Finance / Financial Reporting / Data and Analytics / Forecasting & Budgeting / Business Partnering, Budgeting and Forecasting. The Team Lead partners at divisional and group levels to analyze and interpret long- and short-term financial and operational plans through management reporting, analysis and interpretation of financial trends to enable informed decisions. Primary Responsibilities Functional Responsibilities Ensure financial information, analysis and reporting is accurate, timely, reliable and relevant to assist the Division/Group/Project in perform­ing their responsibilities Manage and support budgeting and reforecasting processes, challenge submissions, identify synergies and ensure efficient and accurate delivery Communicate forecast/plan assumption changes to the team and assess their impact on reports and submissions Provide scenario modelling and stress testing of financial assumptions Lead and support continuous improvement of forecasting and reporting processes Lead project management tasks as assigned; ensure on-time submission of team deliverables Help increase organizational knowledge of budgeting principles Process and Service Management: Manage day-to-day delivery of the team’s services to meet changing needs Contribute to resolution of issues and monitor required actions Manage capacity and resource allocation to meet SLA/KPI targets; monitor and report SLAs and KPIs regularly Review or perform highly complex tasks as needed and maintain process/documentation knowledge Support documentation of process changes and ensure compliance with QBE policies and relevant legislation Contribute to Business Continuity planning Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders; provide timely updates on deliverables and issues Process Improvement: Lead or contribute to business improvement plans and strategies Drive process optimization and efficiency targets; identify and implement process changes People Management: Provide clear communication, motivate and develop the team; support performance against objectives and succession planning Hire open positions within the team; manage team capacity Required Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Required Experience 7 years relevant experience Licenses/Certifications Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant or similar Preferred Competencies/Skills High proficiency in MS Tools; advanced Excel and PowerPoint; data query/data management tools Strong analytical and quantitative skills with financial modeling and analysis Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication at all levels; FP&A business partner Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving; initiative and results orientation Agile with process excellence and change management skills Excellent time management; able to work under pressure Strong people management and project management skills Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related fields Preferred Experience Background in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and complex financial models Experience in managing Budget and Reforecasting submissions; ad hoc projections and analysis Experience in Project Finance support; profitability and cash flow modelling Experience in leading a high-performing team; global/shared services background Experience with continuous improvement of forecasting and reporting processes Knowledge Solid background in Financial Planning and Analysis / Management and Expense Reporting / Project Finance / Financial Reporting / Data and Analytics / Forecasting & Budgeting / Business Partnering Understanding of scenario modelling and stress testing; data management and analysis tools Insurance industry terminology familiarity QBE Cultural DNA Customer-focused, technical experts, inclusive, fast-paced, courageous, accountable, and collaborative All employees adhere to QBE’s Code of Ethics and Conduct and sound risk management practices EEO Statement Equal Employment Opportunity: QBE is an equal opportunity employer and is required to comply with equal employment opportunity legislation in each jurisdiction it operates.
