The Senior Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of goods and services while maintaining high quality and timely delivery standards. This role involves strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and supervision of the purchasing team to support business operations and cost optimization. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and budgets. Manage and lead the purchasing team, providing guidance, performance evaluation, and professional development. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms on quality, pricing, and delivery. Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships monitor supplier performance. Review purchase requisitions and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Coordinate with internal departments to forecast purchasing needs and ensure timely availability of materials. Analyze market trends and pricing to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Prepare and present regular purchasing reports and performance metrics to management. Oversee contract management, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to legal and ethical standards. Implement best practices in procurement and continuously improve purchasing processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage). At least 7–10 years of purchasing or procurement experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role. Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications. Strong knowledge of sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management. High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Has experience in a "megacorporation" Preferred Skills: Experience in health care is an a. Certification in supply chain or procurement is an advantage.
