Product Manager

Overview Maya is hiring a Product Manager for Settlement & Clearing. Location: Mandaluyong, National Capital Region, Philippines. You will own and evolve the end-to-end product experience for settlement, clearing, reconciliation, and merchant payouts. Define and drive the roadmap for internal financial infrastructure to ensure funds are delivered accurately, reliably, and compliantly across global payment rails. Collaborate with engineering, treasury, risk, compliance, finance, and operations to deliver seamless financial flows, exception management tools, and scalable payout experiences. The role spans platform thinking, financial systems design, API product development, and regulatory alignment. You will spearhead the adoption of emerging technologies (e.g., crypto, stablecoins) to future-proof Maya’s settlement systems and drive automation, efficiency, and trust across Maya’s financial operations. Responsibilities Define and drive the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for Maya’s settlement and funds disbursement systems (payout rails, reconciliation UI/API). Develop innovative settlement solutions, exploring and integrating emerging technologies such as crypto and stablecoins. Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Treasury to build tools for real-time fund monitoring, anomaly detection, and transaction auditing. Design end-to-end fund flows and reconciliation processes across acquiring, issuing, disbursement, and remittance value chains. Lead the development of scalable ledger systems, journal engines, and reconciliation modules ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. Drive automation and modernization of Maya’s accounting systems to align with evolving digital banking and embedded finance needs. Prioritize and deliver enhancements for journal batching, ledger performance, and financial traceability at scale. Own the product experience, operational adoption, and usability of treasury tools across Maya’s internal finance ecosystem. Ensure products meet audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements in alignment with BSP standards and other relevant bodies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement treasury products balancing speed, reliability, compliance, and financial clarity. Lead initiatives to operationalize financial products with accurate accounting, settlement, and revenue recognition. Bring deep expertise in treasury, settlements, banking rails (e.g., SWIFT, ACH), and productizing financial infrastructure. Qualifications 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally in Financial Services, Banking, or merchant acquiring systems. Proven track record in building and scaling products in settlement, clearing, reconciliation, or merchant disbursement domains. Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation frameworks, and financial reporting tools. Familiarity with payment rails, clearing houses, and treasury infrastructure (including digital currencies and programmable money). Experience launching complex financial products in regulated markets. Hands-on experience with APIs, ERP systems, accounting software, and SQL-based data extraction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to align technical and non-technical stakeholders. Curious, adaptive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
