Overview Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Drafting Specialist experienced in preparing Grading, Sediment, and Erosion Control Plans (GSECP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil drafting, understanding of site grading, stormwater management, and erosion control practices, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD software. This role involves creating high-quality construction drawings that meet local, state, and federal regulations while ensuring best practices in environmental protection and site development. What You Will Do Key Responsibilities: Prepare comprehensive grading plans, ensuring proper site elevation, slope stability, and drainage patterns. Draft sediment and erosion control plans using appropriate control measures such as silt fences, sediment basins, and slope stabilization methods. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and environmental specialists to ensure accurate and compliant plan sets. Incorporate stormwater management systems into plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to client specifications and regulatory standards. Maintain and organize all drafting documentation, ensuring proper version control and accessibility. What You Will Need Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field. 2+ years of experience in drafting civil site plans, particularly in grading, sediment, and erosion control. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-standard drafting software. Understanding of stormwater management systems, hydrology, and soil erosion control practices. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality drawings. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Optional Experience working on telecom infrastructure projects.
