Job Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting both the leasing and construction sides of the business while contributing to accurate financial reporting and analysis. The role manages daily accounting operations, reconciles accounts, prepares reports, and ensures timely transaction processing to support both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Record invoices and ensure bills are paid on time.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with the AP team to ensure proper posting and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing income statements for the leasing company.
  • Support budget preparation and forecasting activities.
  • Handle basic entries related to construction projects (property build-related transactions).
  • Prepare and provide invoices to leasing agents (e.g., tenant charges such as rent and service fees).
  • Perform ad hoc accounting-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting/ERP systems.
  • Has knowledge in accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Applies experience in accounts payable processes and bank reconciliations.
  • Supports both leasing and construction accounting functions.
  • Demonstrates solid organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Works independently and collaborates effectively with multiple teams.
Screening Criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in corporate or general accounting.
  • Prior experience using AVID or Yardi system is a plus.
  • Must have stable employment history.
