IT Security Head

PETNET Inc. Makati, National Capital Region, Philippines

The IT Security Head ensures the effective management and administration of the company’s security infrastructure, protecting the computer networks, systems, and information assets in alignment with security standards. He/she is responsible for implementing and managing all defense-in-depth security applications and documenting any security incidents or breaches identified. In this role, the IT Security Head leads and oversees a team of IT Security Officers to maintain and enhance the company’s overall security posture.

Key responsibilities
  • IT Security Management: Ensure security updates are current across all systems; analyze network systems and structures to ensure the most secure approach is employed; ensure security tools are running properly on company networks and devices; research emerging threats and safeguards; protect the digital system of the company; develop systems for specialized security requirements; optimize systems to ensure the network is supportive and responsive; present findings, reports and solutions to upper management; study devices and implement the best security protocols for devices from cell phones to laptops; manage the IT Security Team to meet job expectations; work with the CISO on security matters and with the CTO/CIO for implementation.
Qualifications
  • Education. Graduate of BS Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering, IT, or any related field.
  • Experience. Minimum of 10 years of IT Security experience as a Team Lead and Manager. In-depth understanding of perimeter security, network security, endpoint security, application security, data security, security incident and event management, and disaster recovery. Ability to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them. Information security related certifications are a plus (e.g., ITIL, CCSP).
  • Working setup. Hybrid work setup allowing remote work for the majority of the month with collaboration at the headquarters in Makati; in-person interactions at least 5 times a month.
  • Working schedule. Monday to Friday, 44 hours per week.
