Job Description Position Facilities Engineer/Planner – Chemical Engineer Responsibilities Responsible for the operation and maintenance of HVAC, NVCA, PWS and all auxiliary equipment for uninterrupted utility supply to the plant, production, general offices and all support areas. Supports operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant, reverse osmosis/deionized water system, domestic water system, sewage treatment plant, air fume scrubber and fire protection system. Oversees and implements continuous facilities improvements, orderly and safe central plant/machine rooms, continuous cost savings and energy conservation measures. Interfaces with environmental, health and safety (EHS) and other departments to develop programs ensuring regulatory compliance for all environmental protection procedures. Consults with manufacturing and equipment engineering personnel to determine utilities and environmental requirements for new or modified production areas. Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. License: Licensed Chemical Engineer. Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of directly related experience in Facility Engineering in a semiconductor/electronics industry (preferred) or pharmaceutical/food & beverage industry. Other appropriate combinations of the above education and experience are acceptable if the ability to perform duties is demonstrated. Skills Basic working knowledge of the operation, control, maintenance, and repair of pumps, electric motors, fans, blowers, electrical and power panels, and air‑conditioning equipment. Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing fundamentals and understanding of OSHA, safety, and other regulatory standards, policies, and procedures. Effective verbal and written communication skills with information management abilities. General computer knowledge (word processing and spreadsheets). Knowledgeable in EHS systems, especially safety. Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially for facilities operations and maintenance. Effective organizational, time‑management, and prioritizing skills; able to manage diverse groups of construction and maintenance personnel. Highly developed interpersonal and management skills (influence, direct, motivate, evaluate), team‑building techniques, and leadership abilities.
