Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a Budget Analyst. The Budget Analyst is responsible for overseeing the school’s budget system, ensuring effective budget control, and monitoring compliance with established financial policies. The role ensures that all expenses are properly budgeted, reviewed, and approved prior to procurement and payment. The Budget Analyst also performs detailed variance analysis between actual performance and budget, proactively working with departments to ensure that budgets are achieved and aligned with institutional goals.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- At least 3 years’ experience in budgeting, variance analysis, or financial planning (experience in schools or service industry a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial/budgeting systems.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and budget management practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
