Recursive Loop Inc. is an infrastructure and managed services company focused on providing cloud infrastructure management, automation, observability, security, and cost optimization. We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps / Systems Engineer to join our growing team.

As part of our team, you won't just manage systems—you'll help architect, build, automate, and improve the platforms that power our clients' businesses.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure Management
  • Strong experience with Linux systems administration
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI)
  • Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.)
  • Scripting or automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages
  • Basic understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and able to work independently or as part of a distributed team

Job Description

The DevOps / Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure environments for our clients. You will work closely with other senior engineers and client teams to ensure uptime, scalability, and performance of systems, while also automating operations and helping with cost optimization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and support cloud infrastructure
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
  • Design and implement monitoring and alerting solutions
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of systems
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of environments
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, application errors, and system outages
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments
  • Implement backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
  • Help analyze and reduce cloud costs through automation and right-sizing
  • Maintain documentation for environments, processes, and procedures
  • Participate in on-call rotation for incident response (as needed)
