Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloudflare) – Cambridge University Press & Assessment

Location: Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines

Employment type: Permanent

Work setup: Hybrid work environment (office two days a week)

Work schedule: 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM PH time

Salary: Php 102,000 to Php 139,000

Overview: Cambridge University Press & Assessment is a not-for-profit academic publisher and assessment organisation affiliated with the University of Cambridge. We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloudflare) to deliver and manage Cloudflare services, with a focus on Zero Trust Network Access and related solutions to improve performance, security, and reliable access across our infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 3 technical support and escalation within Technology.
  • Participate in incident response and change management (root cause analysis, fixes implementation, documenting changes).
  • Support project delivery and ensure best-practice design for Cloudflare services.
  • Work on-call and participate in scheduled out-of-hours work.
  • Partner with colleagues in technology, business platforms, service delivery, and Cloudflare engineers to uphold best-practice designs and solutions for Cloudflare.
  • Research and test new Cloudflare features; provide guidance on best practices; ensure services meet global requirements.
What you will need
  • Essential:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in network operations/engineering, security, and technology; hands-on with Cloudflare in large-scale environments.
  • Cloudflare Zero Trust design, implementation, and management; configuration of Cloudflare applications, WARP VPN, and Secure Web Gateway policies.
  • WAF policy design and OWASP threat mitigation; log analysis, troubleshooting, and incident resolution (WAF rules, DDoS, connectivity).
  • Knowledge of Internet technologies (TCP/UDP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, proxies).
  • Project leadership, risk identification, and process improvement; strong English communication.
  • Desirable:
  • Performance optimization with caching, CDN features, DNS protocols (DoH, DoT).
